This is a very easy recipe (just the kind I like!) that I got from my sister-in-law. I like to make it in winter as a way to capture the barbecues of summer.
An easy tomatillo and pork stew that is my boyfriend's favorite. Make it as spicy as you like by adding more or less jalapenos, or do not add any if you have a more tender palate.
This is a wonderful, tangy, spicy soup that sort of resembles split-pea. I sometimes add grilled chicken breast or cooked and cubed sweet potatoes for texture. Have fun with it!
Even better than the classic version, this Bananas Foster is served over a round of flaky Pepperidge Farm(R) pastry and decorated with a spoon of cinnamon-spiked sour cream.
Bacon, onions and pickles are wrapped in thin slices of flank steak, browned in butter, then simmered in beef broth. Serve with spaetzle to soak up the gravy.
Layers of ziti pasta, beefy tomato sauce, sour cream and Italian cheeses get a final dash of flavor with a generous sprinkling of chopped fresh basil before baking.
