Rich, creamy, and packed with uncompromising flavor from a slew of aromatics and shrimp paste, this classic Northern Thai soup combines tender braised chicken in a coconut-y curry broth with boiled and fried noodles. Our version is the real deal, straight from the streets of Chiang Mai.
Minestrone soup is an Italian classic! This version is made with cannellini beans, chicken stock, cabbage, potato, zucchini, carrots, plum tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese.
So Vegetarian is almost an unheard of word in the Philippines, but while in college I still wanted the Filipino tastes while trying to be vegetarian. Since all of the recipes I know had meat (even the veggies are cooked in pork) I had to come up with some of my own. This is one of those. Tofu sinigang apparently isn't unheard of in the Philippines but this recipe came out of trial and error. The soup is pretty sour cooked to quot;full strengthquot; but can make a pretty nice fast meal with rice.
This yummy and fillng recipe makes a full crockpot, which your whole family will enjoy! I like to add a salad and some garlic bread to complete the meal.
A few years ago I decided I was going to be a vegetarian. I came to this conclusion after one of my many 400 mile commute days...where I cruised from Nebraska through
It couldn't be easier! Makes a nice side dish, or could serve as a main dish if you're in a vegetarian mood! Subtly sweet with just a hint of spice. Enjoy!
This is a delicious slow cooker pork roast with a sweet and lightly spiced glaze. A crockpot pork loin roast, using a boneless pork roast, brown sugar, and spices.
I am a huge fan of spinach and artichoke dip! This recipe came about when I was trying to put together an orange sweet potato crockpot dish, and I forgot to buy sweet potatoes! I had to leave for work and had minutes to improvise. Grabbing what I had on hand I came up with this dish. I was rather nervous because the dish was thrown together so quickly. However, I was not disappointed- it was yummy!
This steel cut oatmeal recipe is a tasty mixture of steel cut oats, brown sugar, walnuts and bananas. What makes this Crockpot oatmeal even better is that the whole recipe can be made the night before, and the oatmeal will be ready when you wake up in the morning.
I saw Paula Deen make this recipe on her Food Network program. I was looking for a really creamy macaroni and cheese recipe, and this is it! I changed it a bit by omitting the eggs (the original recipe calls for three) and boiling the macaroni for six minutes instead of seven, so it doesn't get mushy while cooking in the Crockpot. I also shortened the cooking time from three to two and a half hours. Perfection!
