Mushrooms, celery and water chestnuts add texture and crunch in this comforting casserole. Chicken and rice are perfect partners that always satisfy.--Linda Durnil, Decatur, Illinois
We like this one. The rice is cooked in pineapple juice. A very good beginning. And then its added to a wok-full of tofu, mushrooms, soy sauce, green onions and carrots. Garnish with crushed pineapple and strips of cooked egg. Yumm!
Dinner couldn't be easier than this savory chicken and rice casserole. The ingredients mix up in 5 minutes, leaving your hands free for other projects while dinner bakes.
This is my favorite emergency meal, made almost entirely of pantry ingredients when a trip to the store has been missed or is out of the question for some reason.
This robust rice is the perfect side dish to serve with any meat, or with vegetables. Rice is baked with beef broth, French onion soup, butter, Worcestershire and basil.
One of our family's all-time favorites. Make it as spicy or mild as you please. It is hearty on a cold winter's night. If you are cooking for a crowd, this recipe can easily be doubled. Be sure to serve this with cornbread!
Pork chops are browned, then combined in the slow cooker with brown and white rice, onions, mushrooms, peas, and water chestnuts, in a flavorful sauce of beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and onion soup mix.
This recipe is so easy to make. Just cover with foil and bake! This is really nice to make before going to church or even put in a slow cooker before work. Yum!
This beautiful rice is infused with onion, a few bay leaves and peas while it simmers and cooks on the stove. The result is a fragrant and very pretty rice pilaf. Serves four.
