I MADE THIS FOR DINNER TONIGHT, and couldn't wait to share the recipe with you. It's a French country dish that involves eggs. And cream. And a heavenly topping of garlic, Asiago, and fresh, fragrant herbs. In other words, it's powerfully-delicious:
We love making shrimp cakes as a full dinner—they're a lot cheaper than crab cakes and work with a good variety of flavor combinations. Here we miniaturize them down to party-appetizer size, combine them with Thai seasonings, and serve with a tangy chili dip.
This tenderloin roast makes a good company dinner. It is similar to Beef Bourguignon, but requires considerably less cooking time. Roasted shallots are added to the sauce along with sauteed bacon bits. The recipe serves 6 and can be doubled.
