1 lb stew meat
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 1/2 cups carrots, chopped
1 1/2 cups potato, diced
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 clove minced garlic
1 beef boullion cube
1/4 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teas.sugar
1 T cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Put meat, celery, carrots, potato, tomatoes, and garlic in crock pot. Dissolve bullion cube in 1/4 cup water. Add to crock. Let cook on low heat for about 6 hrs. Add sugar (yes, sugar! it balances out the acidity of the tomatoes.) In glass measuring cup combine water and cornstarch. Add to hot stew, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
